The first few years in the journey was researching and prototyping product development.
Vietnam was one of the first countries that was a potential candidate when it came to sourcing makers.
In 2018, Shannon went for ten days to tour a few small factories.
Here are pictures of the first prototype (that did not make the cut in Collection 1) - a super simple belt bag that was made to be convertible to cross body.
Below are a pair of shoes tested and the team at a small factory in Vietnam.
Even though SHISAKO decided not to work in Vietnam, Shannon had a wonderful time there.
She would definitely return for a vacation; the people, places and food are unforgettable.
